Fall Pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Egypt
[Ed. Note: If you have longed for a trip to the Holy Land, this is certainly one to consider. Bishop Keith and Jo are well known in the Jerusalem/Galilee area, have led many trips to the Holy Land and are leading an extra excursion to Cairo, Egypt as part of this trip. We were with the Ackermans in Jerusalem for the GAFCON conference and lived in the same dorm at the Lambeth Conference for three weeks. Fr. Todd+ and I have known the Ackermans since the mid-'80's. Bishop Keith Ackerman and Jo lead pilgrimage to the Holy Land. With an extra excursion to Cairo, Egypt, Bishop K. L. Ackerman and his wife, Joann, will lead their tenth tour of the Holy Land this October 19 – 30, leaving from New York’s JFK Airport and flying Air France, with a short stop-over at the Paris airport and then on to Tel Aviv.
Traveling to Israel on pilgrimage encompasses many areas and affects all our senses. The trip is enjoyable in so many ways: it is a spiritual awakening, it is educational and it is recreational. Bishop Ackerman, who is well known by many people in Israel, will introduce you to many people, places and things as well as teach and bring the Bible to life for you.
The Land of the Holy One is beautiful to the eye, with magnificent aromas and flavors that stimulate. The sounds of the sea and the prayers fill the air, but most especially one can touch the places where Jesus was born and where He was crucified and where He rose from the dead and ascended to Heaven.
